José Vladimir Burgos Aguilar is a Master in Information Technology Administration, as well as a Master in Information Sciences and Knowledge Management from the Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM). His lines of research are focused on the development of technological strategies for education, educational innovation, knowledge management and the open educational movement.  

 

He is National Director of the Libraries of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, member of the UNESCO Chair: “Open educational movement for Latin America” and of the International Council for Open of Distance Education (ICDE) office: OER Latin America. As well as a member of the Council of the Regional Node of Open Education for Latin America - OE LATAM - sponsored by the OEGLOBAL Global Education Consortium.

 

He has served as project leader and advisor in the implementation of different Educational Innovation initiatives such as the “Mobile Learning” system, the Institutional Repository, the generation of the institutional “Open Access” policy of Tecnológico de Monterrey, among others.

 

Author of specialty books on educational technology and innovation with Editorial TRILLAS (2010) and Editorial LIMUSA (2007), co-editor of books and author of various book chapters with scientific production of research articles on educational innovation and knowledge management.
